| The floors bought by customers are only semi-finished products. Only by normative installation, can they become the products that can be enjoyed by customers. The quality of installation will directly affect the appearance, comfort and service life of the floors. Therefore, we must pay attention to the method of installation. Customers should choose the construction organization that can provide special installation service, or the enterprises for flooring sales provide the services of sales and installation by persons who have been given special training. At present, there are two methods of installing floor: wood keel installation and floating installation. No matter which method you choose, Mac Douglas floor points out that you should pay attention to the following aspects: |
| 一、 |
The installation engineering of wood floor should be performed after the completion of the following engineering: ground, ceiling, wall dope, lights, switches, air conditioner, etc. Wet operations and the crossed construction of other interior decorations are not allowed. |
| 二、 |
The selection of wood keel. Select the wood keel with qualified water content (the water content is below 14%) and without moth. The wood keel with bark is not applicable. The wood keel should have a width of not less than 40 mm and a height of not less than 25 mm. For the wood floor with a length of 900 – 910mm and a thickness of 18 mm, 4 wood studs shall be used. For the wood floor with a length of 900 – 910mm and a thickness of 15 mm, you had better use 5 wood studs. When installation, the wood keel shall have a good levelness, the height difference between wood studs shall be less than 2 mm, and the slope shall not be 2‰ larger than the corresponding size of the room. |
| 三、 |
The installation of damp proof membrane should have a lap joint of 30 – 50 mm, and the lap joint should be spliced with water proof adhesive tape. After the installation of isolation layer of damp proof membrane, you must be sure that the whole isolation layer is airtight and the surrounding has a smooth exhaust. |
| 四、 |
When installing the floor, reserve a 12 -14 mm expansion joint at the surrounding four walls, so as to prevent the arch action of floor for bulking effect. Wood keel installation: when installing floor, the tusks should be leaned against the wall. When fixing, punch in at a degree of 45° from the tusks. For hardwood floor, drilling shall be performed first and the aperture shall be a little less than the diameter of floor nail. Head of the nail shall be smashed flat to crash into the floor. |
| 五、 |
When the installation of floor is performed, the water proof treatment of the joint places of washroom and kitchen shall be well done.

After the completion of the installation of floor, waxed sealing treatment shall be carried out immediately. The correct method is: use solid floor wax and adjust the color of wax to such a state that the color is near the floor color. Seal the gap, so as to prevent the invasion outside dry or wet climate and the deformation of floor. It is better when there is no white line in the joint of floors, which makes the floor have a better appearance and more stable.

The accessories of wall skirting - “snaps” that can be used repeatedly are used to fix it on the wall, and the distance between snaps is about 40 cm. Then pat the wall skirting from up to down. |
