In the use process of wood floor, necessary and normative maintenance is very important. It has relationship with the service life and use effect of wood floor, as well as the definition of guarantee liability hereinto. The use & maintenance method of wood floor has a significant influence on the service life after the installation of floor. Here, Mac Douglas floor points out that you should pay attention to the following aspects in daily use:
1、 Prevent the impact of heavy and spiky hard materials to the floor. Avoid the friction between metal sharp utensil, glass chip, ceramics chip, shoe tack and floor, so as to avoid scuffing the floor. It is best to place a mat at the doorway, so as to prevent bringing sand into house to scuff the floor. And you had better wear soft shoes when you are in the house.
2、 The wood floor should be kept dry and clean in the daily use. The swab dropping water can not be used to mop floor. Mop floor with dry duster cloth or swab.
3、 It is forbidden to make the floor contact with a naked flame or to place large-power electric heater on floor directly. Avoid direct contact of high-temperature objects with floor.
4、 It is forbidden to move the furniture on the floor surface when a furniture removal is performed. For wheel chair and heavy furniture, protection mats should be used in the positions that easy to make a wear, so as to avoid the damage of paint film and floor coating.
5、 Avoid or reduce the direct insolation of floor in strong sunshine, so as to avoid the color change or color difference of surface paint of floor for the long-term ultraviolet radiation.
6、 After the installation of floor, if no one lives in the house for a long term, proper ventilation is needed. Long-term close of windows will cause the dry shrinkage or wet expansion of floor. Prevent the water from washroom, balcony and kitchen from infiltering into floor. Do not forget to close the doors and windows when leaving the house.
7、 When heated floor is used, the temperature shall be raised slowly. The best increase value is ２℃ an hour.
